“……Five runs in one. There was the walking wounded, the walking and wary, the front running myopics, the middle running muddlers and the righteous middle class………”

Evening,

Well that was an interesting run which managed to conjure up the proverbial blood, sweat and tears.  Please read my run report for a semblance of what might occurred, and I did enjoy it despite my self-inflicted 8 miles.  The good news is that the PH3 social conscience Sparkly has been deploying her best bedside manner to check on the welfare on the battle weary. From that reportage I’m pleased to be able to report that Pis’t’man Pat is ‘well’ and trying not to infect his customers with the lurgy.  Seeping Squirrel  is still in battered and bruised state but following the judicious application of TCP and bandages by Anita avoided the feared trip to A&E.  We wish them well in their respective recoveries, noting that they are setting runs for us next month so get well…..soon. All heart me, eh? You’ll also note that Billy Graham has already started splitting hares(!) on my accuracy and grammar. Methinks he doth protest too much….

It seems that despite the awful events in Boston this weekend’s London Marathon will be going ahead. Uphill Gill has (I think) sensibly deferred this years’ attempt due to her knee cartilage problem, but we wish both Paul Newman and Remington all the best for Sunday knowing that Sorry John and Allabouthashing.com are likely to working hard in the background. If you feel willing and able to support either Paul or Ali in their charity collections you can at:

Dash and I will be taking on the less onerous but equally enjoyable Clandon Park Run on Saturday. I’m not aware that any other hashers have been enticed to enter this year?

A quick reminder for you to let me know if you are thinking of accepting the kind invitation from Cinderella and Prince Charming to attend their wedding at St John the Baptist Church, Wonersh at 2pm on Sunday 5th May and at the evening celebrations at 8pm at Gate Street Barn, Bramley.

Which brings me to this weekend’s hash run which will be on Sunday 21st April 2013. It is being set by DVD and possibly MP from The White Horse, Hascombe. I understand that our fleet and four footed hashing hound Vegemite has been involved in a collision with a vehicle and is in a poorly condition. Obviously we hope she makes a full and speedy recovery.

Till Sunday, I hope to see you there.

On on
